Weather: 70 degrees slight humidity
Comments:
Not a bad run. Had a substantially quick 3.5 miles and then an easy cool down. Both intervals where below 7 minute pace. With just exactly 21 days left until the halfathon its important to stay focused on being healthy and ready to run my best.
I ran 35 miles this week and I would like to follow it up with 40-44 miles this week. Including a long run of at least 12 miles. This would be my last hard week and any chance I have of getting in a good long run that may improve my stamina and Vo2Max! With 14 days left I begin to decrease the distance but increase the intensity followed up with a cool down and good stretching.
Some important tips I need to remember is to keep hydrating with water and Gatorade! Keep good nutrition so my muscle can recover faster and I can optimize every workout! Esp. three days before the race I need to start carb loading. Or at least not run in a calorie deficit! and as always find ways to cut cigarettes out of my day!
