A necessary run

December 30, 2014 (Afternoon)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: 50ish, but felt so much colder when the wind blew

Comments:
Despite wonderful sun setting, the wind was strong and challenged my resolve in the middle of my route when it came head on. I put off the run all morning and much of the afternoon, but did eventually head off around 4:15. Down B St, across the D St Bridge, down Lakeville and then looped the fairgrounds and crossed the freeway. Took McDowell to the creek trail and paused at the Starbucks near Baskin Robbins for being out of rhythm with my body. Finished across Washington St Bridge, over to Western, and back home behind the creamery. Never felt good, but I did loosen up around 20 minutes when I turned to have the wind at my back and other than the need for the stop, I feel like it was a solid, basic, training run of which I need more. Took a two hour nap this morning which is also a nice vacationy thing to get to do.
