Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
After driving the daunting, roller-coaster-like loop with my dad, I set off to climb from one hollow to another. While the country is nice, I'm not so keen on the solitude that accompanies my runs. I had nobody to keep me engaged and motivated, and while I can usually pull that off by myself when needed, the course was alien, and very deceiving. The moment that I thought I reached the end, there was just one more giant hill to go. On the upside, I got a nice, hilly run in after being unable to go to Fort Reno. On the downside, the weather was in a limbo state, too warm for tights and a sweatshirt but equally too cold for shorts and a t-shirt, causing me to struggle with being overheated or cooling down with a sweatshirt-cape, just to freeze over again. Not sure if it was that, a lack of sleep, or a cautious pre-run lunch (or almost lack thereof), but I felt surprisingly lethargic during the second half of my run. Can't wait to run with a team again.
