Comments:
It was cold and a little windy so I wasn't sure how this would go. After the warmup I felt pretty good but 5 and a half miles is pretty long so I wasn't sure if that would change. Like all tempos, I felt fine the first mile. The second mile was good too. Looked down at my watch to see 11:36 and was relieved to see that we made the team. From then on the run just went much more smoothly than I expected. I got a little carried away the 4th and 5th miles so I tried bringing it back to the pace for the last two laps but this is exactly how I want a tempo paced run to feel. Very satisfied with this tempo.
