First of all, I would like to thank Anthony, Cori, Mark, Karen, Matt, and the entire team for making my cross country season an unprecedented enjoyable start to a school year. I hope everybody has (or, has had so far, considering I'm writing this on the 13th) a fantastic year, filled with running and happiness (but lets face it, they're basically the same thing).
Today I decided to spice things up and do an east bound out and back, but this time, on western instead of military! How exiting! After doing a short loop around the western/military triangle, I departed. For some strange reason, the top of my foot/my lower ankle was bothering me, even after I loosened my shoes. Once I reached Rock Creek I went alongside the road for a few minutes and turned around. Had to stop once or twice because I felt completely fatigued (thinking I was going to get out of the door earlier than I did, I made sure not to eat much), but I let my thoughts wander and just enjoyed the last 2 miles of the run.
