Comments:
Compared to the tempo last week, I definitely feel that I am getting stronger. Before the tempo, I did 30 minutes on the bike at Level 10 resistance. For the tempo, I started at a 5% incline at 8.5 mph. After 10 minutes, I increased it to 9 mph. At about 25 minutes in, I increased to 9.5 mph and gradually increased the speed from there. I completed the last mile of the tempo at 10 mph.
This workout was something I need because it gave me confidence for my future races. It showed me that I am capable of running a much faster time than I did at Springfield. I'm really looking forward at the next opportunity I have to race, regardless of the event, because there is a lot that I still have to prove.
