5X 800 Meters with 3-4 Minutes Rest

Comments:
It was very sunny which made me heat up quickly during the speed workout. It is tough doing a speed workout in the heat, but I am content with my times. My first lap was always 75-77 and maybe 78 once which is not good at all. Teammates that are much slower kept jostling for position at the beginning. So I sometimes had to swing wide and run extra distance and sometimes got boxed in. I tried staying within a certain distance of Ababu until the last 200 when he got really far away. Arjun ran a few as well. This workout gave me confidence. I feel like if there was better weather, I could have gone 2:30-2:32. This pace was probably 1 mile race pace to 1.5 mile race pace. It was hard to tell since it is my first speed workout.
