Still recovering from a pretty bad cold (it's been two weeks now!), I was told by Anthony to take it easier today. I started out on the 49th st loop, like everybody else, but quickly found myself in a pack with the big boys, as well as Matt Leader and Theo. The latter headed back to school at 49th, and perhaps I should have done the same. I continued left on the Spring Valley Loop, but after a few blocks, started to hurt. Jackson was nice enough to stay behind with me until AU, where I met up with Noah (who now has/had my cold), and we ran back at a more relaxed pace. Neither the distance nor the footing of the run bothered me, I just got caught up in a slightly too-fast group, and no other option was in sight (I certainly didn't want to run alone in this mildly treacherous footing). Anyways, I started feeling better once we passed Ward Circle (we took the back way home), and was happy that I had done the full Spring Valley Loop by the time we neared school. Hopefully this cold will finally pass so that I can feel better on my runs.
