Exercise Type: Run

Comments:
First mile opened up at 5:40, the miles started to get slower but by the half way point I was right on time for breaking 1:20. The pace started to drop slowly but surly, the last 3 miles was tough and the last mile really hurt. Side stiches in that last mile really made my time drop.

That's it for the season. It was a good season with some ups and downs, some do's and don'ts and def a great learning experience. I didn't hit my goals for the year in terms of time but maybe because I set my goals to high...and I am still smoking cigarettes!

I took that 1st mile out in 5:40 and hit the second mile between 5:50-6:00 minutes. Over all the first 5k is an estimated time of 18:30. Probably a little faster; averaging 5:57 per mile. After that first 5k I settled into a 6:10 pace. I hit 6 mile mark in 36:30. I was averaging 6:05 mile. At the halfway point in the race I was just a few seconds shy of breaking 1:20. 10 miles in I was running 6:12/mile and was on pace for running 1 hour 21 minutes and a few seconds! But then a fell apart. Especially the last two miles. I fell off a whole minute per mile during the last 5k of the race!

he last two miles was a killer and was really hurting.
