A taste of Kent and Spring Valley

Weather: a chilly 50

Comments:
A moderate turnout for practice today. Equal numbers of sprinters and distance folk. JOined the distance group and dipped into Kent, found a stairwell up to the bottom of Lowell and finished up through Spring Valley, 49th street and Chesapeake. Can't say the hills felt good, but with a little work, we got up them without loosing much pace. Even built up a decent head of steam for the last mile and had eased into things over the first mile. Looking forward to the first Saturday meet tomorrow, although it will be contested with a skeleton crew.
