Green Park Modified Hill Workout

March 28, 2015 (Morning)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: Cold and Wet

Comments:
I used my warmup jog to find an adequate hill for the workout. Finding it was harder than I thought. I used the steepest hill in Green Park that I could find (Which is the only park that even has hills), but because the incline of the hill was not as steep as the hills that we usually use, I modified the workout to make it more challenging. The hill was about 85-90 meters long. Instead of running it eight times, I ran it ten times; and instead of a recovery of running down the hill plus a minute of jogging, I made my recovery just running down the hill. I feel like I challenged myself well by modifying the workout based on the conditions of the park. I ran back to the hotel as a cool down. I feel like I am really making good progress in my training, I just have to be careful with my shins now and not overwork them. Good luck to everyone running in the Loyola meet today!
