First workout back on the track since the winter. It was mile repeats with a minute rest. After some strides I felt ok going in but not great and I knew I wasn't in the shape I was in the winter. Goal pace was 5:45. The first set I went out and let the rest of the guys get way ahead of me because I knew if I went with them I would go out way too fast for my first 200. Even still I went out in a 40. From that point on I just tried to hit consistent 85s on the laps and did that pretty well, finishing the first one in 5:39. It felt pretty comfortable. The next one I ran the same time and still felt like I could talk after. The third one started off fine but I was tired the second half of it so I was a few seconds slower. I then found out I had only one more so I tried to hold it together as best I could on the last one but I ran the same time as the third and felt pretty tired doing it. The times are nothing too crazy for me so I know I still have some work to do to get back in good shape in the next three and a half weeks but considering the short rest and how I've felt the past few weeks, I think it's a good start. I Should only get stronger from here
