General Soulcrusher

Comments:
Got to experience Soulcrusher for the first time. Started out in a big pack of the boys distance team, going quicker than I normally go (sub-7), but they broke away when they pushed the hills, which I really didn't have in me today. INstead I ran with Theo and Matt (and Silas after the middle of the first hill). The pace slowed down a lot, but still felt challenging due to the heat and the hills. We stopped for a bathroom break at the LIbrary on the way back, and I felt immeasurably better afterwards. Felt as though I could have pushed the final Soul crushing hill, but it would have verged more on race effort than tempo, especially when alone. Stuck with the rest of the pack all the way back. Good conversation and a satisfying, if grueling, run at the end of the day.
