Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
My legs felt a little sore today before the workout for some reason but once we started warming up I felt pretty good. I was originally assigned 16 400's at 84 with 30 seconds of rest. I knew this would feel easy early on but i knew it could change by the end because I am still not sure of my fitness level so I wanted to be careful. Zac and I were the only ones running this pace so we let the other groups go before we started. We took turns trading off leads and had to get used to going out at an easier pace to run even laps. It felt very easy in the beginning and we had to reign in the pace to prevent going out too hard. By the time we were more than halfway done I realized it still felt very comfortable so I decided to go for 20 reps instead of 16. I continued to feel smooth until the end and felt great. We hit 83-84 for every lap and felt fine doing it. For the last few we brought the rest down to 25 seconds and then about 20. This whole workout felt like a tempo workout and was definitely a "feel-good" workout. It worked and I am happy I was able to do a workout without straining at all. I did core and bands after class. Also found out I'm racing at ESU Saturday so I'm looking forward to my first outdoor track race in 3 years
