Patience is a virtue

April 14, 2015 (Afternoon)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: Rainy just how I like it

Comments:
Perfect workout weather if you ask me. Love running in the rain. SIlas was kind enough to accompany me to time. Sorry for making you stay in the rain Silas. However I am incredibly frustrated. Did a full long extensive warm up (about 20 mins), we didn't run to au cause I didn't want to risk having to stop the workout due to injury and being forced to walk or run back from AU so we drove. But I got there focused and motivated. Anxiously awaiting my first time back. I felt great in warm ups, nothing felt tight, put on the spikes did a few sprints before running, everything felt great. However, the results were not great (26.8 for the first 200, 61.5 for the 400, and 27.4 for the last 200). The weird thing is I felt great running, and I couldn't see my form exactly but I was swinging my arms a lot like from hip to chin very quickly, and my knee lift felt great, posture felt great, stayed up on my toes the entire time, and even silas said it looked like I was going fast. Alas, the times however when I crossed the line were not impressive, I immediately crossed the line after the 400 and said to SIlas "I got a 61 didn't I". I'm quite frustrated, I know I know patience, but after the workout it became very apparent that although I need to be patient I am running out of time. I have only one more month left and x number of meets, I don't have much time to be patient and let things get back to normal, especially if I want to do what I know I am capable of. I felt a little out of breath after the 400 and the last 200 one but never felt like I was dying at any point in time running! I don't know, just be patient is all I can say now.
