Binghamton dual meet

April 14, 2015 (Morning)

Exercise Type: Run

Comments:
Team did a normal warmup but only for 800 meters then I had to wait around for like 2 hours until I had to warmup for my event. Then I did a nice easy warmup with Niall and Tommy C for the two mile, me and Niall were just going to tempo it for a workout. During the drills and strides my foot had a stinging pain whenever I landed on it, it hurt to walk. I stayed off my feet and it felt fine once the race went off. I'll just have to monitor it. Before the race I was told that I might have to run the 4x4 afterwards so I shouldn't use too much of my energy. The race started and me and Niall felt like we were going so slow we were talking and laughing and stuff it was actually pretty fun. Then this one kid started to push it on the second to last lap and we dropped him easily. I wasn't even tired after the race even though we took the last lap a little quicker. So I went to Coach Parker and asked if he needed help with the 4x4 he said yes since we were down a few points and needed the win. I hardly even warmed up when the race was started. Niall got us off to a pretty good start but I was about 20-25 meters behind the Binghampton guy. I basically went all out from the start and was hunting him down. I caught up to him and the 300 and stayed close to him the whole way. We ended up winning the relay(I'm still not sure if we won the meet but I think we did) so I was pumped up. Then I did a cooldown in the dark on the track.
