Comments:
Calves were still very sore going into this workout but I felt pretty good on the warmup. Zac and I took the first one out at a pretty even pace and ran 5:51/5:51 finishing in 11:42. This felt very comfortable as it should have. His head was bothering him though so I was on my own for the next two sets. The next set I went out a little ahead of pace in 5:45 so I tried to keep it easy the second mile to feel good for the last set. I ended up running the second mile in 5:52 to finish in 11:37. This didn't feel too difficult either. Just like a tempo effort which it pretty much was. The last one I was supposed to go fast, but I realized that my endurance isn't the greatest right now so I wasn't able to really rip it. I took this one out in 5:45 again and felt a little tired but not dead so I tried to push the last mile without straining too much. I finished the second mile in 5:43 for an 11:28 last set. The last lap of this set was 82 with the last 200 being 40 so at least I was able to get in a strong finish at the end of a long workout. It's nothing to be too proud of since those paces are slower than I would ideally like to run for the 10k but I wasn't feeling 100% going into it anyway. I got progressively faster each set so I would call it a decent workout. I'm going to try to take it easy the rest of the week to actually feel fresh for the 5k at TCNJ this saturday. I got core and bands in after my class
