Pretty good run. Body actually feels great, no aches and pains to speak of. Just not really in shape, and not yet used to the DC heat, humidity, and hills.
In other news, my faith in the foam roller has been reaffirmed (as if I weren't a big enough fan already). I got it out for the first time all year, and was excited to find that tightness / knots are no worse than I left them at the end of high school (I can tell because I never would have been able to handle this bumpy foam roller when I first started using one). It's very surprising to me that the tension didn't drift back after 2 years of doing almost nothing to combat it. Though I don't want to confuse correlation with causation, I wouldn't be surprised if this lack of tension has a lot to do with my body feeling good on sparse training.
