Weather: low 60s and sunny

Comments:
Warmed-up three miles then started the 10-mile race. I only made it to the 5 mile mark before stopping because the pavement was too jarring on me. I felt really stiff in almost my entire lower body. I ran mid-29s through the 5-mile marker, feeling pretty good aerobically. I was jumping from one grass patch to another for the entire time, so it wasn't very efficient. I stretched for several minutes then jogged the final 4 miles on the side of the road with claire. She ran really well and was happy with her race. Afterwards, I did three miles barefoot on the beach.

Right before the start of the race, I ran into Lex. It was crazy to see him up there in michigan--a huge coincidence--his cousins have a place near boyne. He was a little behind me at the 5-mile mark and I think he finished in the low 58s.
