Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
Ran to the reservation with Zac to do our tempo there. it was pretty humid out but at the same time not too hot so it wasn't so bad. I felt pretty good on the warmup. We stopped, loosened up, then started at the usual starting point. I looked at my watch quite a bit in the first mile to get used to the pace since I haven't run it in a while. It felt quicker than I am used to. Not like it was aerobically too challenging but the quicker turnover was kind of a shock to my legs. It's not even like they were that tired, I just had to keep reminding myself to keep my legs turning at a quicker rate or I would revert back to an easier pace. The res is definitely harder to run a tempo in than the track but since we are preparing for xc, I figured we should do it on some type of soft surface. Maybe we'll try potter's field next week. Felt fine on the cooldown, almost like I hadn't even pushed just before, so I don't think this took much out of me. Looking forward to extending that pace for longer distances as the summer goes on.
