July 19, 2015 (Morning)
Exercise Type: Run
Weather: SO hot
Comments:
Ran as soon as I got up but still couldn't beat the heat-- absolutely sweltering and air quality felt terrible. Gave up on trying to keep a decent pace after the first mile or two, I just wanted to get in something a little longer than what I've done for the past couple of days. Passed a toddler walking with his grandma who told me I was very fast, which unfortunately was a total lie, my time was so bad I'm not even going to record it here. But it was still fun to be out and about for my first morning run in quite a while. Got a bit of a boost when I turned on to Glover Archibald and saw Liam, clearly unaffected by the heat and early hour, doing striders by the mouth of the path-- go hoppers!! The trail at least was a little cooler but I still ended up struggling pathetically through the last uphill (mass to ward circle) and heading home to drown my sorrows in french toast fondue (pretty effective mood lifter.)
