Comments:
we missed the fartlek workout at STA yesterday, so I tried to replicate it today. I went out for 10 minutes at a fairly relaxed pace, and then did intervals of 2, 1, 3, :30, 1:30, 2:30 with recoveries of those lengths also randomly dispersed in between intervals. I think both my intervals and my recoveries were too slow though. I'm still not quite sure what a fartlek is supposed to be like. It ended up being slower and shorter than yesterday's steady run. The route was also very hilly. I went down oregon into maryland, got on to beach, and then took beach back to bingham, and then back on oregon to tennyson to 29th. I forgot to do ankle twirls beforehand, so my lower calves kept cramping up. I stretched those a couple times during the run. Luckily, I had the promise of warm fresh cookies that Ana had made when I got back. For strength I did 2 rounds of 80 dead bugs, push-up rotation, and 25 superpeople.
