Exercise Type: Run
Weather: Mild in the shade
Comments:
The Albrittain-Belber long run series continues! In a gross violation of Farwell's schedule, he led me down into Gulf Branch onto the Potomac Heritage trail by Chain Bridge, soon veering right instead of my usual left leading to Kirby road. We took a thorny overgrown section of trail to the American legion bridge, got to Turkey Run Road in McLean, then Georgetown Pike, passing by the CIA and hooking onto 123, thence jumping back onto to the trail past Fort Marcy and returning the way we came. In a bizarre inversion of things, it was he who wanted to go longer today and I who tried to exercise some caution, hoping for a 54-mile week; but I was holding up well enough. Simple strength work today: 1:30 planks, 3x25 pushups, 2x85 pushups, 25 clams.
