Two Mile Time Trial

I went into this with the explicit goal of breaking 10:00. Although I actually failed in accomplishing my goal, I am still moderately happy with this. I sort of tucked into the pack for most of it, reluctant to really take the time trial into my own hands. With a lap to go, I was at 8:46, so I was trying to break 10 on it exerting no more effort than totally necessary. I did not kick at all. I didn't care.

Summary: Last year I ran 10:05 trying pretty hard. This year I ran 10:00 not really trying that hard. I have to be pleased on face value.

Competing Thoughts: Maybe I'm sugarcoating this some and I didn't really try THAT much more last year. If five seconds is all the improvement I've made me and the team is counting on me, it could be a rough year...
