second senior led practice! it was a little more organized this time, with only 4 seniors. last time was kind of a too many cooks in the kitchen effect.
we all started out together on the 49th st loop/that other one where you turn right on 49th instead of left. At the turn off, it ended up being just me, Rhianna, Abby, and Jeff who were doing the longer run, so I figured pretty early on that I wasn't going to keep up with them, so I just kind of let them get away from me and went at my own pace. I think that turned out to be a good decision, because I didn't burn out, and even felt really good at the end. Jeff ended up in between me and Rhianna and Abby. The only issue was that Jeff almost got lost in the middle, because Rhianna and Abby took a detour, but luckily Jackson (who had looped around and came up behind me) and I stopped him before he got too far, and then Jeff and I ran back together. I was feeling good so I added on to Western and back. so yay! finally a run where I felt good for most of the time. (The middle bit was a little rough, but the beginning and end were great.)
for strength I did planks, plank leg lifts, push-up progression, and single leg squats. ( I was gonna do more but I ran out of time.)
