This run was good, as a run, overall. We kept a pretty easy pace at first, not pushing too hard, and staying pretty tight as a group, though some fell back due to injury. I think the tempo as well was taken very seriously and everyone put their best foot forward. While it wasn't a race pace, every seemed appropriately tired afterwords.

My main issue with this run was personal, because it was due to my leadership. I had a run planned out beforehand that was exactly 8 miles and would end up finishing doing the tempo along Stephenson Road. However, when I first got to practice, Hunter and Ian were a little upset that we were doing our tempo on the shoulder of a road (understandably so), so I tried to change the route a little so we could run on the golf course instead, allowing it to be much softer. Unfortunately after that Hunter almost took control of the entire run, because I often wasn't at the front of the pack since I was talking to Matt Lin, Noah, or Coach Liam. Because of this Hunter would just go in a different direction than the run had planned, though in his defense we did end up doing right around 8 miles. However, because of this Tristan, who stopped due to his calves, was way back, and went on a different run and was only lucky to meet up with us again. I think next time the run should be followed, so that everyone can catch up eventually and knows the route.
My other issue with this run was a little lack of communication between different people. Coach Liam thought the tempo should be right after a 15 minute warm-up, Hunter wanted their to be only one mile after the tempo, I had originally planned to have the tempo finish at the track. It was just a pain trying to listen to and please all the people on the team.
After we got back we finished with drills, strides, and abs. It was a good time laughing and smiling and seeing Coach B back.
