Weather: mostly overcast and pleasantly cool
Comments:
Decided to run to the high school track and then ran 6 laps of 200 sprint and 200 recovery. Had to estimate the 200m marks and the track is mostly gravel with a very uneven surface and no defined curb. Was fun to be back at the track and high school field where I used to train as a young boy for upcoming pre-season soccer, etc. Pretty pleased with my focus. I have no idea how long my interval actually was, but I'm hoping it was a bit longer than 200m. the splits are below and the recovery jogs were decent, not exhausted shuffles, but their pace averaged 70. I was definitely working hard on the sprints, especially the last few and I"m pleased that I was able to focus and bear down a bit as well as not feel completely trashed on the run home. I did also mange some drills and 6 striders before I started despite no enthusiasm to do so.
