Little hill workout (both the workout and the hills)

August 10, 2015 (Afternoon)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: terrific, sun and cool, dry, 70s

Comments:
Basically ran Dad's 4 mile loop but circled back to sprint 5 hills and that helped get me to 5 miles instead of just four. At the top of every hill I sprinted 40 meters of flat. Ended up running the Cliff Rd hill twice and the cobble stone hill thrice (I convinced myself to add the third just before starting the second.) It turned out that every hill was just about 40 seconds long and my "last sprint" on each hill was always my fastest by a couple of seconds. In between the hills (which came at the mile mark and 2 mile marks), I was able to maintain sub 7:30 miles which was a pleasant realization, although logical as I'm well into my taper. I also worked a few hard striders into the final 600m and then did a few more in front of the house to bring the number up to 6 total, I think. These don't feel like I'm moving very fast, but I do feel like I'm working hard and waking those muscles up a bit (hopefully just in time for the race.)
