Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
river road is 3/3 on asthma attacks this summer. I forgot my inhaler and we almost went back for it, but decided not to. Bad decision. literally 2 minutes into the run, when we had barely left GDS, I had an asthma attack. I slowed down some and after a few blocks, it subsided a little, though not entirely. We got to the CCT and I was feeling really quite dead. My breathing wasn't so bad anymore, it was pretty close to normal even, but my muscles were tired, and I was lightheaded and dizzy and heavy. I turned around on my own, convincing Ana to continue without me, and trudged back to school after walking for a couple minutes. Even at that incredibly slow pace, I was wishing for more stoplights. I think some of it was psychological, but I felt ready to lie down by the end. With some water and some time in the shade, I started to feel a lot better, and once I felt better it was hard not to feel disappointed that I'd been defeated. moral of the story: always take your inhaler
