ran 8.6 miles in 49:22 (5:42 pace), which really surprised me and explains why it felt so hard... although it was a net downhill (http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=3116176)... 4 x 200m w/ 200m jog rest plus 8 x 100m w/ 100m jog rest... mile barefoot... jog home... the short speed stuff felt tough, but that's to be expected given that it's the first speed work I've done in a long time and I ran pretty hard during the first half of the run
