Long Run

Legs are finally feeling the week in its brutal entirety. Went out with the Pamunkey and Rappahanocks. Started out pretty slowly (around 9min pace), which was actually a surprisingly refreshing change of rhythm, if only for a little while. After 16 minutes, Mark orchestrated a clean break between the Mataponi/Pamunkey and the Rappahanocks, allowing us to accelerate back to normal pace. Turned around after 32, but not before a long bathroom break (today's theme was long--extra long drills, long bathroom break, long run...). The Pamunkey kept going, so it was just the Mataponi--Sahil, Noah B, Frankie, and me--on the way back. We picked up the pace to around 7:20 (at least) on the way back until we reached the hill where yesterday's workout partially took place. After slowing down for the hill, we kept the pace mellow. After all, Anthony said that today was about the number of steps taken and the wear on the legs, not about straining the cardio endurance. A great closing run to an even greater week.
