5k at st John's hospital.
Felt decent, legs still feeling mid-week lift/workout but race went well regardless. new lifetime pr by 40 sec. won the race by 3 minutes. Got a free sports massage. Also got a sweet hat and shirt woo
In terms of the race itself, I managed to get almost perfect splits. 5:30 first mile, 5:32 second mile, 5:32 last mile. Leg soreness wore off by about the mile mark. Was working by 2 miles but it was still very manageable. Passed a couple 5 mile race guys who encouraged me a good bit which was nice. Felt very in control the whole race. fairly relaxed for sure. Throat closed up a bit in the last half a mile but It didn't cause any serious problems. Going to have some talks with coach Schmul and maybe Lanese or Mark. We'll see.
I guess this race proved to me that the time trial was in fact just a bad day and I am in shape. So I think this means I'm going to go hard for PSB and possibly Oberlin. This ain't over.
