Comments:
On the agenda today at Oblong Road was 4x90m striders, accelerating during the first 30m, reaching top speed during the second and slowing down during the third; then 8-12-8 minutes at threshold with a 2-minute recovery, then a three minute recovery. During the eight minute pickups we had to speed up to 10k pace in the 4th and 5th minutes, before returning to our earlier rhythm and do the same thing during the 5th, 6th and 7th minutes of the 12-minute pickup. Alone for the first half of the workout, I ran with Will Kirby for the second half. Clearly I am not fully recovered as I was still coughing during the day, but the congestion has stopped. Rumor has it we're doing another workout tomorrow, which would make sense, because while this was challenging, I did not find it THAT difficult. Pete said I looked good today!
