Quad Meet

Tempoed the race today. Don't know my time yet. I was aiming for 6:40 for each mile. Went out with Lizzy and Sylvia and we hit the first mile in 6:29. After the first lap they took off and I just tried to keep the same pace. Apparently Sylvia was running pretty consistent 6:30s though so I must have been doing like 6:40-45s. Didn't feel as good as I thought I would as when we did the 12 minute tempo at 6:30 pace I felt fine. My legs felt super heavy. I think it is because I haven't done any serious running on them in a week. It will probably take another week for them to get used to the miles. I felt no pain in my leg during the race which was awesome, except for the fact my tape thingy was just chaffing against my other leg for the whole race. That felt really uncomfortable, and afterwards it felt like I had a really bad rope burn on my other thigh. Super excited to actually finally be able to race this weekend. All the girls said they felt really good on their tempos and actually ran faster than they did at the ESM invite. I think the team is getting stronger each day.
