Comments:
I ran a good workout today: not excellent, not poor, good. With the coaches and half the team away at Paul Short, Matt Rock and Colin oversaw it, telling us we were to run at 10k pace. I'd be willing to bet almost nobody did that; I get the feeling that unless you're Bijan, such pace goals are kind of a farce. I set out to run at a hard, but manageable pace, and accelerate throughout. Most of the time I was alone, chasing Nigel who periodically started before me, or chasing Jacob K. and Hiroshi. For recovery we had 2-3 minutes after a 16 or 12 and 3-4 after the 2k. I took 2, 2:30, 3. The warmup lasted 17:22, the cooldown 22:25 at a rather brisk pace. Though not blazing, today marks the best I've felt for some time and DURING the workout, I thought, "wow, I really love this."
