Walk Through the Fire

Longest I've ever run before. The workout was tough but it wasn't the worst one we've done this season. During the first set, my achilles on both legs were in quite a bit of pain and running was just uncomfortable. I was positive there was no way I was going to finish the whole thing. The second set was even worse as my legs stayed the same and my breathing got worse. However, during the 3rd set the pain went mostly subsided and I started to feel better. The 5th set was the best set for me as I knew I was almost done. During the last 6 minutes of the workout my inner thigh started pulling again, and that what I've been trying to be super cautious with these weeks. Overall, I definitely feel like this workout was very mental for me just because how long it was. The 2 minute tempos felt the worst. Our tempos were pretty fast, the time doesn't reflect it because our jogs were hardly even jogs we were going so slowly. We wanted to make the run back to the School as short as possible, so we ran back on the train tracks which took more concentration and energy than I had. I rolled, iced, and stretched. Tomorrow I am going to go to Lowes and buy a big bucket so I can do a full body ice bath.
