Today was incredible. My goal was to have fun and I did! My teammates were amazing, the weather was perfect, the course was dry and flat, and everyone was there cheering for us.
I ran a 23:24 (1:06 PR) and finished 4th in the open race! That pace would put me at a 25 second 5k PR (didn't actually hear the time though...) The whole time I tried to be positive and mentally tough (good practice for track). I've never finished so high in a collegiate xc race. Our team killed it and swept the race, 1-5, perfect score.
I honestly couldn't have picked a better way to go out, or better people to do it with :)
