It Was the Best of Runs

This run was so so so amazing. I was so excited to go on this run originally because I have waited long and hard to go on the capital crescent trail loop. I joined Gillian and Charlie on the trail after my group decided to turn around and we decided to run to Mass. We ran Mass to Western to Wisconsin and it was quick. I have run for longer amounts of time, but this run had a quick pace that gave a nice challenge. It was super cool to be in a group fighting to keep up because I got to really push myself. Also the run was so gorgeous because of the pretty sunset and on Mass the top of the trees glowed as the sun pushed behind them. AND I JUST REALIZED THAT THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I'VE RUN OVER 5 MILES. I HAVE BEEN DOING THIS ALMOST TWO FULL SEASONS AND I HAVE FINALY, FINALY RUN 5 MILES. (back when I hurt my leg in the spring I had just reached the 4.5ish area for runs and was excited about breaking 5 mi then I couldn't and then going into summer training my main goal and drive was my 5 mi run and then i hurt my back BUT I HAVE FINALY MADE IT AND I HAD NO IDEA.) This is bliss. I've made it to the big leagues of 5 mi running. And I got to break 5 mi on such an amazing run. This is so great. My main disappointment with my back was that I was so invested in running and I hadn't even run 5 miles. (btw I titled this log before I started writing so it was the best of runs x5) The time of this run was unclear as Abigail Howell's group got back about 5 mins after us saying there run was 42 mins, but if I go any lower than 40 mins than I was going faster today than I was Saturday. So just like in Chemistry, I think Abigail is wrong.
