Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
Started off with a 20 min warmup downtown. It was pretty cold since we did it before school. Kept this pace nice and easy. We got to the golf course and spiked up and did some drills and strides just to get loosened out. We started the workout with 2 1000's at tempo pace just to get warmed up. On the first 1000 I felt pretty bad I don't know why but it felt weird. The pace was also a little slow for that one. The second one I felt much better and the pace was right on point. Then we got to the real fun 12x200. I really like this part of the workout I am a big fan of creative workouts and I like the 1 mins cycle so however fast you run you get the rest for recovery. The first few 200's felt easy. We started of going quick but it felt fine. As the workout went on I felt my breathing getting harder and harder because I could never fully catch my breath after each 200. The first 7-8 or so we're about at 31-32 seconds. They felt good. My legs felt great my breathing was rough but that's the point and it was good to work on this. The last 4 I just pictured the last 800 of a race and thought just push push push. The last one was pretty much all out. The last few were like 29's. It felt good. My form got better as the workout went on before my arms were bad. Didn't have much of time to get a cool down in so I only did like a mile. I had to get ready for school.
