November 12, 2015 (Afternoon)
Exercise Type: Run
Weather: Utterly bleak, drizzling, could have been on another planet
Comments:
Both Economics and French today were bearable! In Econ I understood everything in the class for once, corrected some algebraic mistakes on my problem set at the last minute and even--gasp--found some of the material interesting! I also had my running stuff with me, so I waltzed straight to the Field House in a jaunty mood and soon set off with Ian, Nigel and Kilman for Northwest hill. Kilman and I continued into the bleak, grey, wet weather long after our companions had left us. The visibility became poorer and poorer, but we pushed on into the eery, colorless world, likely sub-7 for the last few miles. Kilman told me all about life in San Diego and how he couldn't recall a time eating lunch inside, would walk to the Ocean during his free periods and how during the fire season in October the ash in the air got so thick you could look directly at the sun.
