Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
First long run since Mackemie. It didn't feel quite like what a long run is supposed to feel like I think. Our pace was slow enough but I didn't feel great. Probably the lack of warmup/drills as well as the fact that I've almost no steady runs in the last month or so. The hill up BK was especially rough. So for our route, we started out towards BK but then at Ward circle we decided to stop in to cheer on the girls doing the workout (and ended up running around AUs campus for a little bit after that). Unfortunately, the workout girls were still doing standing dynamics. So after that we went to BK all the way to Macarthur and then went back up the way we had come. On the way back we decided to stop at AU a second time. Unfortunately, we arrived while sarah was in the bathroom so we jogged around the track for at least a mile while we waited for her and then cheered them on for one interval. The last mile back to school was probably the fastest and definitely felt the best. I'm definitely feeling fatigued. breathing was also not so great for the majority of the run. not horrible. Sorry Isabel for not having one of those amazing long run conversations. various injuries hurt a bit but not horribly
Also I think the distance from Isabel's watch is a bit short because I think of the run straight down to Macarthur on BK and back as being more than 5, or even closer to 5.5. and we definitely did more than 2 in our digression from that route. And those watches seem to often find a smaller distance than other methods (not that I care of course :) )
