meghan, ashley, jessica and i decided to be tough and do the 10 minutes 5k pace, 5 minutes recovery, 10 minutes 5k pace again. going out, i felt okay, i was keeping pretty close behind meghan, which was awesome for me because shes a beast! but i definately started to feel it as i got closer to the end of 10 minutes. i wanted to do this one because i wanted to be sure i could last going at a faster pace for a bit longer time, so i could get a feel for what a 5k might be like. after our 5 minutes of recovery, we started up with the 10 minutes of faster pace running and i died pretty quickly. this time, ashley passed me and that made me feel like crap. i was in between jessica and meghan and ashley, so i didnt know when the 10 minutes were up, so i just tried to go as fast as i could for as long as i could, and then i finished at a jog. i felt like crap. i hate being so far from the front of the pack. it sucks. i guess thats something im going to have to get used to in cross country because these girls are amazing! although this run wasnt the best, im definately glad that we did this in the morning instead of the afternoon.
