Comments:
Started from island at 5:15 it was already getting dark by the time I started. Went from island past the farmer market, around to stewart park, past the high school through fall creek, back down buffalo street, then back to island and finished with half a loop or maybe a little more through cass park. Most of the run was in the dark. I was using my watch to track paces. i basically started at 7:50 pace which felt very slow, because Weishaar said we should start out slow. After that each mile I dropped it down by 20 seconds until the last 2.5 miles. So paces were 7:50, 7:30, 7:10, 6:50, 6:30, The last 2.77 miles were at a pace that felt like I was pushing it but not killing it. A nice medium. Just a chance to relatively faster than my normal runs and get my legs to go a quicker pace than usual. I was probably around like 5:50 pace or so for the last 2.77 miles. Just practiced on shifting gears throughout the run. Just the feeling of moving to a faster pace. Gonna need to know how to shift to faster and slower paces for track because of the different distances. The first 2 miles especially the first mile felt like a jog. The run actually did not feel that bad felt pretty easy actually besides the last 2.77 miles which still didn't feel too bad. Arms were good throughout.
