Wooster Race

September 1, 2009 (Morning)

Exercise Type: Run

Comments:
Went the the race today at Wooster. Ran pretty well. I'm definitly feeling better than yeaterday and I'm hoping the trend continues till I feel 100% un sick. I brethed through my nose much better today although there was still a lot of stuff at the end of the race. The race went well. I went out probably too hard but was able to do pretty well pushing through the rest of the race. The hills began to eat away at me the second loop and that extra mile definitly makes a difference. We'll have to see how another extra feels on Saturday. I need to get stronger in the latter stages of the race and push more out at the end. Let a kid pass me in the last probably 600 which sucked. Shoulda went with him and passed him at the end. But hill work and just working through the season will help with that. Plus I've done "hill stradgey", long run, medium tempo the last three days so my legs are probably more tired than usual. But I'm not too worried. Improving the finnish will come. My legs don't feel too bad now although probably tomorrow I'll feel it. Splits were 5:16, 5:32, 5:46, 5:49. SO I uess I did racover a little in the last mile cuz it ws up hill but from looking at those my third mile was slow then cuz there's a long downhill in there and I probably shoulda pushed it out more in that streach. Overall good day though. But there are definitly things to work on. Cool down was barefoot.
Streached a little after the race but probably not enough. 3 sets super crunches 30 push-ups and 3x15 dips.
Resting Heart Rate: 5.
