Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
Today was a really hard run for me. But it was supposed to be a hard day so I guess I shouldn't be surprised. I liked how at first we ran in the grass around the football fields and then we ran on the track. It switched up the scenery a bit and changed my mental thinking. When I run, I think of how far to go, where I am in the race, etc. but I hate it when my thoughts continue to be the same, so since we switched it up from doing intervals in the grass to on the track, my mental thinking got better, just because it wasn't the same. Out of the sets of three that I did, the first one was always the hardest, then it continued to get easier. I tended to push it harder on the second interval of each set, I don't know why, but my body was able to go faster those times. So, today was a pretty hard work out, but I'm just keeping in mind that I'm getting stronger. Rusty put it perfectly when he said "I dont run despite the pain, I run because of it." That is exactly what today's work out was: pain. But it was good pain, the kind of pain that says "You are getting stronger!" and I love it! (but don't get me wrong, I still hate intervals:)haha)
