Well this was kind of a long day. I went to the doctor and he told me that I could run 2-3 miles for 3 out of the next 4 days. He seemed very confident, and so I was also very confident and very very excited. Probably a bit too excited. I started to feel a twinge at the end of the warmup lap and was in pain by the end of drills. I tried another 5 minutes of running, which was painful but not as bad as it has been. It hurt walking around tonight. After those 5 minutes I biked for a half hour with Hannah. Isabel hung out with us for much of it and I'm very grateful to her for cheering me up.
I know this doesn't mean that I won't run soon, but this was really frustrating. I really thought this was going to fix it. I know we're only a week into the season and there's still lots of time but it's my last one and I really want to be running for it. I'm seeing the doctor again on Tuesday, so hopefully I'll figure it out then.
