Comments:
Figured I had better post an update on here lest my loyal readership forget me.

2/14-20: 50.6 miles--no long run, still fighting the tail end of sickness. A tough week mentally.

2/21-27: 68.3 miles--13.7-miler on Sunday. Suffered some severe aches and pains in the lower right ankle. At one point it was even swollen, but ice has got the better of it since then. Tuesday: 4x6 minutes of 10k pace, Friday, shorter, faster Bee Hill workout.

2/28-3/5: 72 miles--14-miler on Sunday. Ankle almost a non-issue, but right middle TOE has been in pain. Could use some new shoes. Wednesday--hit 2:19 (71, 68) for 800m and 1:37 for 600m on indoor track, in the middle of a long, complicated workout with 2(10x100m strides). Felt amazing during three sets of Oblong Oslerians on Saturday morning. Practiced water jump technique Thursday, over an actual barrier.

3/6:
12.1 at Ingraham. Gave up hope of running with anyone faster than me early on, so turned around with David 45 minutes in. Most Sundays it's like banging my head against the wall; how much does it take to feel comfortable on a long run with my own goddamn team?

3/7:
AM, 4.2 (had class until 3:50pm today, steeple at 5:00, and a "short" long run yesterday)
PM, 7.3, Blair and then five minutes towards the Rez. Plus steeple practice--drills and many laps of clearances. Closer to full "ambidexterity" now; still naturally prefer leading with right leg.

Overall, I'm having more good days than bad. Starting to suspect that I might feel like maybe the training is kind of indirectly helping a little. You get the idea.
