Ouch!

I wore a new top today to go running in and ouch, now I know why they always say carry vaseline with you! My top started to rub me under my arms and now they're really really sore. I ran to Clapham and back, I wanted to carry on to the park my arms were so sore that I just decided to go home. Even now, when I move, it hurts!

Anyway, I was determined to run at least 10km today. Thats what I had in my head all day and so thats what I needed to achieve. The first 20mins of the run were really really tough and I honestly thought I wouldnt last the distance. I just wanted to stop and go home! But I plodded along and it was a slow but steady run. I'm not trying to pick up speed yet, just need to get the miles under my belt before I start thinking about times. Glad I did it though.

However, I really need to find a different route as the route I'm doing at the moment is far too hilly and has far too many traffic lights - theres no way I could run that route sub 60mins. I need a flatter route.

Am thinking of doing a really long run on Saturday morning along Battersea river. we shall see.

I'm going to try and do a nice and easy 5km run to Dulwich Park tomorrow morning before work. Maybe.
