Comments:
Ran to meet Sam and Matt Eddy at Ft. Reno at 6:00. Jogged a loop which was nearly 800m. Starting near first base, it looped behind the backstop and dropped down elevation to the corner near Sam's house. Turning right, it ascended the steep hill and wrapped near the concrete blocks and pivoted left between fences to loop the stage and finish at the start line. I looped wide along the first base line and let them out each time, then regularly passed Matt down the hill and Sam up the hill. Worked, usually with Sam on my tail, around the stage and pulled through often a few steps ahead of Sam with Matt not far behind either. Cooldowns were a slow jog around the outfield for 2 minutes. I've been low on sleep for the past two weeks, several 4 hour nights adding to the general bleariness, but it was wonderful to be pushing hard and out of breath with cold, dark, damp air in my face. Felt like a respectable workout. Times were 2:40, 2:38, 2:39, 2:36.
