Good day for recovery. Got taped up early so I could get out on time. The tape felt really good today, but I will be getting either inserts or new shoes tomorrow. We did a team warm up, and I just ran with Neil, Hunter, and Ian. It's good to have Ian back after being sick for a little while, he should be all set for Saturday, but he will be more nervous probably because the rest of us have a race under our belts and he hasn't raced yet. For today's run it was pretty much a recovery run/pre-workout. We went up the hill to Cornell then up the trail to the art quad, after that we went up Tower and then over to and around beebee. We were at 25 mins by then so then we went back across Cornell into collegetown and down until we got on the road we come back on for a Giles. then we went down Gun and back to the highschool. We did 4 strides and then headed back in for lifting. The lifting felt a lot better for me today. After that meet yesterday I have just been anxious to get racing again, I'm looking forward to running on Saturday where I will be in a stacked 4x8, and doing a 3200. Silas had to cross train today, I know that it has to be annoying having another setback. As a fellow competitor I know its hard. But I told him you can only control what you can at this point, and if you have to cut mileage you do but just go hard cross training, roll, ice etc. but I know he's already on that.A response to his log about Loucks- Silas remember what the real goal is. Loucks is a nice plus for a good time, but it doesn't mean anything if you don't have a good postseason. If you do have a good postseason you will hit the times you need to.
